As of September 3, 2024, a range of new aerodynamic enhancements are available for the 2.1M Medium and Heavy Duty trucks. These options include the Pickup & Delivery Aero Roof Fairing (8823014) and shorter, 4-inch Side Extenders for Daycabs (8829626). These components can be specified on trucks built on or after November 4, 2024.

The Paccar Technical Center (PTC) is expanding significantly, 42 years after its establishment in Mount Vernon, Wash. As of July 17, 2024, the facility employs over 600 people on its 450-acre campus, located approximately 90 minutes north of Paccar Inc.'s headquarters in Bellevue, Wash. According to PTC General Manager Phil Stephenson, the workforce is expected to grow by an additional 30 staff members in the near future. Paccar, the parent company, manufactures Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.

Chillicothe, Ohio – March 4, 2024 – Kenworth Truck Company is proud to celebrate a golden anniversary – 50 years of building its iconic trucks at the Chillicothe, Ohio assembly plant. The plant officially opened its doors on March 4, 1974, and just one day later, the very first Kenworth W900 truck rolled off the assembly line.

Since then, the dedicated employees at the Kenworth Chillicothe plant have produced over 782,000 trucks, all embodying the company's core values of quality, innovation, and cutting-edge technology. The plant currently employs approximately 2,500 people, making it one of the largest employers in Ross County and Kenworth's largest manufacturing facility in the world.
