Kenworth Unveils the W900L Legacy Edition: A Final Tribute

On March 24, 2025, Kenworth announced the availability of the W900L Legacy Edition, a limited production run designed to commemorate the end of the W900 model's production. This special edition is now available for order, with manufacturing slated to begin on October 6, 2025, and continue into 2026.

The W900, originally launched in 1963, has become an enduring symbol of American trucking. The Legacy Edition serves as a tribute to the truck's storied 63-year production run, incorporating exclusive features and options that honor its heritage. Kenworth will produce 1,000 numbered Legacy Edition trucks, with the numbering sequence running in reverse order from #1000 to the final #0001.

Key Features of the W900L Legacy Edition:

  • Vintage Kenworth logos are featured throughout the truck, including hood emblems, door thresholds, door pads, the glovebox door, and the sleeper backwall.
  • The Cummins X15 engine is finished in a distinctive Legacy Cummins Beige paint.
  • The interior boasts a Diamond VIT design in all black with platinum accent stitching.
  • Vintage Kenworth logos are embroidered on the seat headrests and steering wheel.
  • The dashboard and door trim feature Ravenwood accents.
  • An exterior Legacy Edition sleeper badge is included.
  • A Legacy Edition serial number plaque is mounted on the glovebox door.

Optional Content:

  • Customers can opt for five throwback bullet-style roof-mounted LED marker lights, replacing the standard rectangular markers.
  • Five additional throwback bullet-style LED marker lights are available for the sleeper roof.
  • Legacy Edition exhaust shields featuring the vintage "KW" logo and a "Since 1963" black backing plate are offered.

The Kenworth W900L Legacy Edition is available in Extended Daycab, 72-inch AeroCab Flat Top Sleeper, or 86-inch Studio Sleeper configurations. Furthermore, Kenworth has curated 11 special paint schemes that reflect iconic W900 looks from throughout its history. Customers can order the Legacy Edition in these recommended color combinations to match the original aesthetics or choose any custom color or paint scheme.
