February 28, 2025 - 8:40:22 am

Effective March 3, 2025, Kenworth will integrate the newly released Bendix® Fusion™ 3.0: ACC Stop and Auto Go™ system (Bendix® Fusion™ 3.0) as standard equipment on T680 models. This upgrade applies to vehicles equipped with PACCAR MX-11 or MX-13 engines paired with PACCAR TX-12 Transmissions, as well as those featuring Cummins X15 engines and Eaton Endurant 12-Speed transmissions.
Transition to the Next Generation
Bendix® Fusion™ 3.0 represents a complete replacement of the prior Bendix® Fusion™ ACC Stop and Auto Go™ version.
Key Enhancements and Features
According to Bendix®, Fusion™ 3.0 builds upon the established functionalities of its predecessor, incorporating a new, high-resolution color camera with an expanded field of view. Notable improvements and additions include:
- Refined Adaptive Cruise Control: Experience a more seamless and responsive adaptive cruise control operation.
- Pedestrian Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB): At lower speeds, the system can detect pedestrians in the vehicle's path, triggering audible and visual warnings, and potentially initiating braking.
- High Beam Assist: The system intelligently manages high beam functionality, automatically switching between high and low beams based on surrounding conditions, such as oncoming traffic or ambient light levels. Note that high beams may be deactivated below a minimum speed of 37 mph, depending on specific conditions.
Visual Upgrade
The Bendix® Fusion™ 3.0 camera is now installed on the T680, contributing to the system's enhanced performance.
Summary
Bendix® Fusion™ 3.0 represents a significant advancement in driver assistance technology, offering improved safety features and a more refined driving experience.
